Re: MUBI - Bring the world of Cinema to your PS3.

sounds good as long as we get a varied selection. not sure why tarantino is listed at all; his work is total mainstream. Would like to see a range as diverse as from 'Songs from the second floor' to 'Poultrygeist', and with an effort to feature films we can't get on dvd. Theres a wealth of untapped HK cinema, including the Mr.Vampire sequels, which would be nice to see. How are you sourcing shorts for this service?

Re: MUBI - Bring the world of Cinema to your PS3.

Not very impressed so far. I have registered with there site at www.mubi.com and the slection of films is pretty poor once you select films available in your area. If you are in the UK you probably wont know any of the films avaiable. This pretty much a Cannes style video service.

When you first go to there site it seems like you will be getting good films but  not really.

I really do not understand why PSN video service does not do a Monthly subscription service is rediculous. I will not spend 4 quid on induviual renting films. I also expect to rent HD aswell not SD quality. I got rid of my SD TV 4 years ago.

Come on the US get things lke NetFlix while we get half arsed services.

Re: MUBI - Bring the world of Cinema to your PS3.

They said from the start it's going to be a very different kind of movie service. Your not going to get american Pie or Iron Man movies here. It's very Indie based and cult classics/ Lovefilm is coming at some point too which would suit you better.

I thought we were getting a release date today but guess not

Re: MUBI - Bring the world of Cinema to your PS3.

The PSN is partially down now at the min for maintainance, this was supposed to happen last week for the launch of MUBI, so here's hoping when it goes back on later we'll have MUBI on our PS3's!

Re: MUBI - Bring the world of Cinema to your PS3.

I've been wondering about this too :/

Problem is that vidzone had to be downloaded from the store so I would expect it to be next week if indeed that is what the maintenance is for :smileywink:

That's unless the store guys pull off a minor miracle and push it on it's own :smileyhappy:

Dah Dah Dah RadioactiveMouse :smileytongue:

Re: MUBI - Bring the world of Cinema to your PS3.

I hope it comes soon, really intrigued to try it out. Next month we should have this, ITV Player and Lovefilm. Should be a good month but as with anything PS3 these days i'll get excited when it actually launches.
