I have no idea what happened to it.

but when i added a new movie to the server it wouldnt show, even after rebooting PS3 and PC.

Even removed some movies i dont want and still the same.

Any help?

WMP or Twonky based

 

WMP 11 or WMP 12 

 

WMP 12

Find the Force re-index Option hidden in menu.

(Use google to find it if you dont know. ) 

WMP 11

Find and delete its index file.

( Use google to find location per OS)

 

Once WMP breaks its indexing features. it will start to increase the frequency of the failure rate.

Time to change media server.#

Microsoft are unable to fix this bug as it happens on all Windows versions and many differrent user set ups...

 

Twonky based  

Go to maintanance section and select rebuild database. 

Set update data base to -1 and save. this should force the settings to update on the HDD

If it happens again youll need to dig out the index and setting files and delete them. but thats dangerous to do on Linux NAS devices so make sure you get the right files... 

Then start from scratch.
