might aswell use the free trial up
Dunno if i'll move from lovefilm as i get game rentals & alike on the package im on atm.
This so the lovefilm for me is a free extra but will give netflix ago.
To be honest i think love film offers the better service? ( What do you think ? )
.
Netflix has the better quality steaming when compared to Lovefilm, but love film offers more choice on the streaming service and the retail side of things.
I used Netflix last night and watched 4 films, and not once did it buffer, or drop quality ( That is better than love film ). But when you search for new films ( even some older but popular films ) Netflix hasn't got them, while Lovefilm has.
Example. Search ( Pirates of the caribbean ) and on netflix you only have the 1st film, ( None of the others ) while Lovefilm have them all either buy streaming or rental.
IMO i would say Lovefilm would be the better choice out the two so far.

Netflix is only rolling out the service here(UK & Ireland),so I'm sure they'll add alot more to the database in the coming weeks/months.

It's actually a pretty good service. I've mainly used it on my laptop, but PS3 seems just as easy to use. I would say it's a lot better then Lovefilm and it seems quicker overall.
I was amazed when it had a movie I was looking to watch for years, but it was never released in the UK on dvd, so finding the movie on netflix made my day
Whether I'll keep my subscription after the free month I don't know, I've already got quite a lot of use out of it.
May I be nosey and ask what movie?
Sure, Delta Farce.

What a load of crap Netflix is, how anyone would pay for this very limited service is beyond me.
I picked out about 3 films last night that interested me (wasting an hour of searching and trying the quality etc) and that was in HD and 5.1 because come on, a film in stereo in this day and age! The rest I might as well dig out my old VHS collection or download them..
Then the film I did watch (West is West) was a load of tosh and nothing like I expected given the original. So 2 more films to watch (If I can bring myself to it).
There's is films I've been wanting to watch for a while now, I am Legend, and Wall-E. Guess what? They don't even exist and there not like they are new or unpopular films!
Search Will Smith for instance, a fine actor from many great films over the years. He has 2 films on Netflix. Seriously
This is why i said that Lovefilm has more choice and content.
Netflix has a good streaming service, but in UK it is so far lacking compared to other UK services. In time Netflix will get better, but IMO ( and only time will tell ) the Netflix we all know in USA would not be in the same for UK.

I still do not understand how they can ask me to subscribe (even if it's only a free trial) without even showing a single item of their catalogue? Why don't they allow potential customers to browse the catalogue so they can find out if they are interested?
Just for this reason I have already classified them in the category of "companies I don't want to deal with because they think they are more important than their customers".

Account use can not be done buy PS3 app only, so you have to surf the net any way were you can find the "How it works" and "Browse" catalogue options.
And yes this Includes "The PS3 browser". ( Just went on it )
