PSN Music Store

This idea came to me when I purchased & downloaded the Pixeljunk Eden soundtrack from the PS Store.

I really liked the fact that I was able to purchase it using PSN wallet funds (I use PSN cards because I don't have a credit card). So I thought to myself "Why did they stop at game soundtracks when they could have made a music section with albums & songs by a variety of bands, artists and genres etc". All of which could have been purchasable (if that's a real word) by PSN wallet funds.

Of course I doubt that something like that would ever happen but there's no harm daydreaming I guess :Music:

Re: PSN Music Store

'SCE is waiting for the ITUNEs Vs AMAZON price wars to end.

They got burned trying to stay in that fight last time.

Amazon can be used in the PS3 browser to buy single tracks which also made them delay the Music store.

Now that there is NO DRM on ether system for music files, Both content providers files play on PS3.

There is aslo a move buy the customer to Subscriber/advert funded based Music services, were you rent access to bigger music libraries which are streamed to a HDD less devices.

Hence VIdzone and music unlimited services on HDTVs....

There are just as many risks getting Cash out an ATM as in using the debit card online. So users use Amazon for Music downloads.
