Wanted to get the ball rolling on this,
Since Play TV is simply software, i'm sure there will be various updates to it.
Here are some of the key things i've noticed;
*Sleep Timer (This is well overdue, not just for Play TV but for the Playstation 3 itself. If the PS3 has to be left on whilst we watch TV now then there should have been a sleep timer incorporated)
*The loading times for getting into Play TV itself need to be much shorter. (especially comparing it to the average time it takes to
simply flick on a normal TV)
*Fix the slight pauses/stutters noticed when using all other features of the PS3 whilst recording.
*Series Link – the ability to record an entire series.
*The Favourite Symbol – perhaps not a heart eh, maybe a choice of some others.
*To facilitate watching TV for long periods, perhaps some sort of sleep mode should be introduced for the console itself, for the power conscious.
*Ability to pause recording (currently when recording if you want to pause for an ad or something you'll have to stop the recording and then create a new library file to resume.)
Thanks guys.
Please feel free to contribute!

To be able to record 2 channels at the same time, it's dual tunner, so I don't see why not..........

Very top option in the settings menu is `Manage Favourites` . Just highlite the channel you want and press `X` to add/remove it as a favourite, a little heart will appear next to it. Then in the guide `Square` button toggles between display all or just favourites.

I'd quite like to be able to select 'Delete' for any given recording in the Library by pushing one button on the Remote/Controler, rather than having to open a menu then select delete. It's a small thing, I know, but it's very much a standard feature in most PVR interfaces...
About the transfering media direct to PSP thing, though. There's really only two ways I can see that ever working TBH. Firstly, they could record TV on the PS3 using a PSP compatible video format (i.e - at best 25% of the bitrate PlayTV currently uses, for one thing), which would mean compressing the signal before putting it on the hard-drive, a loss of playback quality and so on, and there's absolutely no way I want that. Or, secondly, they could convert recorded programs to a PSP compatible format as you transfer them to Memory Stick/PSP - which is fine and by far the more practical option, but will take time to convert.
As it happens, you can more or less do option 2 with very little fuss on a PC if you have one. Getting the file off the PS3 is simple enough by sending it to the home menu, then copying it to a card/External HDD/Mobile Phone. Then if you have media manager pro it'll transfer directly to PSP from there. Alternatively, you can do it with PSP Video9 (free) - PlayTV saves video as .m2ts files, which is usable by any PC with a DVD codec on it (i.e anyone who'se bought a PC or DVD drive in the past 700 years, because they invariably get that Cyberlink PowerDVD thing bundled with them). All you really need to do is rename the file format to something like .mpeg so PSP Video9 can see it, then it converts without a hitch - PlayTV files don't have any DRM on them as far as I can tell. Anyone who tells you you can't use PSPVideo9 this way is lying btw - I did a few on friday and it worked fine.
Don't get me wrong, I would like to be able to directly transfer PlayTV files direct to PSP. It's just there's no real way round having to convert and re-encode them, and that's not going to be appreciably faster than doing it on a PC.
