Slingbox - Slingplayer Support?

Does anyone know if Sony are talking to Slingmedia (http://www.slingmedia.com) about a Slingplayer for the PS3? Now that iPlayer has been introduced it would make sense to be able to watch streams from SlingBox's also. So that people could watch Sky/Cable etc on the PS3

 

Slingmedia already have a browser based player available at http://www.sling.com/ and there is another browser based player at http://www.mreplay.com/

 

Here is a screen shot of the Slingmedia browser player, surely Sony can support one of these two browser solutions or work on a combined effort with SlingMedia?

I've got a Slingbox Pro and it's excellent, but it uses a proprietary protocol that Slingmedia have created so no doubt they will want money from Sony or ourselves before they'll develop a PS3 app.
