Twonky Is a Linux OS based Media server, Which NAS companies Buy to install on their NAS enclosers.

It saves them having to do the hard work off creating the NAS software from scratch.

It can be installed on the OS side of the Media server to run the hole NAS. 

It has a HTML and FLASH based remote access design for Devices that don't have DLNA but have a web browser. 

It can be hidden under a new HTML layout designed by the companies that by it.

Media servers from some big brand router companies use it. the Filters and Short types can be altered to your hearts content if you can edit files. 

 

It is available as a complete replacement for Some NAS servers OS if the user knows what they are doing. 

Its also on Windows and MAC PCs... Only windows has been used as a stand alone NAS... Its now on android and IOS devices as well.

 

But it costs $$$$ its not free. $20/15 euros.. after trial ends..

( Remote access controll usage, No DS3 used... )

you would need to check out fun plug to be able to install twonky on your nas and it would involve using telnet and copy and pasting code into telnet to get everything working, it is rather easy but i decided i would un-install twonky and just use the nas software.

anyone? 

 

this ps3 is pretty crap for what it does so far i should have probably stuck to just using my pc for everything. only thing my pc aint got is a blueray player which isnt essential for me
