I have a 1080p monitor connected with my PS3 over HDMI. The XMB is 1080p, so is the webbrowser and the store. Though Call of Duty Blackops (which is 1080p too) doesn't appear sharp on my screen. This means one pixel in game doesn't seem to match with one pixel on screen. I have two close up photographs so you can see what I mean. The first is the XMB, the scond the TV from the main screen in Black Ops.
As you see here, the lines have been meade somewhat softer, though in a very blocky way. I have already tried putting my display settings to only 576p and 1080p, but this doesn't change anything. My monitor reports a full 1080p. How can I make Black Ops (and other 1080p games) sharper?

You might be right about this, however I thought wipeout did have the same problem, it seems (after taking the same pictures from wipeout) wipeout is smooth and not blocky like COD. It looks like my problem is just the fact that the COD dev's thought: "Hey, let's make it 720p and say it's 1080p!" or something. I will try another 1080p game though.
Thank you for helping.
