every time i try and play bbc iplayer a message appears saying " sorry there seems to be a problem. please quit the application and try again later" this has been happening for over a month now and I'm getting really fustrated. any help?

If using the web browser, clear cookies, cache and authentication information and try again.

This would be the initial suggestion, to do this start up the Internet Browser through the XMB and press the Triangle Button, under 'Tools' there should be the option to delete these.

I've also got this problem, had it since the update. Thought I'd wait till I found a solution on the internet which I havn't yet.

I've tried all the deleting the cache/cookies ect. I even reset my PS3 which made me lose my main account (fergot my Email and password). Any idea's what's going on?

I too have been having trouble since the update, I notice a thing called "my channels" thought this is interesting, downloaded most of them to see what they were like, sony seems to be trying to set it up as a iptv network channel with easy button feature.

downloaded them all until I got to bbc iplayer, downloaded it, installed it, loaded up, then I get the same message, I think this is a software issue from sony, don't think they fixed it up right either that or the problem is coming from bbc, because my mate is having the same problem with his, he's getting the same thing.

Fixed this problem by ensuring the date and time was correct. Also make sure you have at least 2gb free on hard drive.

It might be worth trying the above suggestion and if it still doesn't work let me know.

Tried all the suggested fixes including date and time check. still not working

set the time via the internet it worked for me thaaaaaaaaaaaaaank god!
