I send this message to the contact section of the developers and they said it was a sony problem not theirs:

Hello, while playing gotham city impostors on the PS3 I visited the black market store section.

This week they added both solo and multiplayer XP boosters, when attempting to buy the it got to the point where it confirmed/downloaded it and gave me an error message

"DOWNLOAD ERROR: your downloadable content could no be downloaded successfully. please retry your purchase."

I have many times, but now rather than giving me the option to purchase, when I click it... I get that message over and over.

I review my services in my PSN account and they both come up there, but doesn't seem to have registered.

I bought them on 25-4-12.

hmm...

If you're unable to download, try entering safe mode and choosing "Rebuild Database" from the menu. You can find a guide to safe mode and all the options here 

 If it doesn't work, try repeating it but choosing "Restore File System". Again, the guide I've linked you to will explain more about what it does

Nope neither of those things worked.

Try downloading it from the Account Management part of the XMB. You should be able to access "Download List" in the menus there. Sometimes that has been known to help with odd errors.

Thats the first thing I tried, It doesnt appear on the list.

But if I go into services its in there, with the starting date but no expiring date and no remaining.

Have you tried playing? it may have been applied anyway

nope it's not, I've been playing on it for a week solid. Ive seen it when other players have it on, also it displays how much is left in the store, and it's still at zero. It would have been wiped from the service list if it had been used.

there seems to be no acknowledgment on the games end, either in the store or in-game

Did you import the game by any chance? or are you using a game from a region other than that of your PSN account? Eg, a US game on an EU account?
