hello my router is 

Linksys cisco      Model no- wag120N   

I did borrow my m8 ps3 and connected into my network and is was working perfect no cutting me off so it is something to do with my ps3 connectting setting or me wireless reciever is knacker not sure .

Try copying the settings on your friends PS3, and if that doesn't work you may well be right.

The last thing you can try, and I'm not sure I've mentioned it, would be a factory reset of the router which would wipe any settings it's assigned to your PS3.

Hello ,Honestly it is absoutly nightmare ha anyway what i did was is turn everything off like router,ps3 and unplugs & plugsin  all telephone cable connection .Then switch on and reset the router .When i turn ps3 on is was automtaically picked up my router -ip address,dns server etc etc .i couldnt belive it is working online games hooray so five days later on same thing again happening and i try what i did last time like turn off unplugs etc etc .it is not working at all .

sooo frustrated lol  

So i think that ps3 software updated latest is having a lots of problem like connection issues,crashing and freeze  before that is was perfect connection n never had freeze & crashes

Sounds like it was definitely a problem with the router from what you did there.

 haha yeah i am alive still .

well i have done everything  i can so getting nowhere and guess what my dad did rung internet provider AOL lol,He explained to the staff and think is our router is on way out so actually .They said to my dad if u extended the internet provider contracted to 18 months and we will give u the router for FREE !!!! oh yeah baby i am not paying new router for about 80 quid . It is a fantastic news free router but is will deliver to 10 days . i am not a patient person haha

the new router arrived this morning and setting network connection up .When go for network scan is actually pick up the new router so save it . Now when signed in ps3  error code 80710172 something like that and said my connection with playstaion network is timed out . So what is happening u think it is ps3 maintencae down for bit ?? or it is my ps3  honestly it is been totally nightmare . 

TWO WEEKS NO ONLINE NETWORK is becoming a joke huh

Hello , At last we got the internet connection back ON !!!! ,Basically my dad rang 3 diffrenet people from internet provider and they have given us 3 diffrenet new router thinking is blow up so my dad had enough want to speak the senior .The senior guy found the problem is our LANDLINE !!!! so engineer have been repairing for last 5 days .It is all good working for now and i havent been online for nearly four weeks LOL 

I have lost all my games saved data so it is possible that i could get it back ??

p.s playing on fifa 2012 soon but i am on low skill player i want to return my former player

Unless you've got a backup saved somewhere or have your saves set to upload to the PS+ cloud server, then I'm afraid that you've lost them
