Hi All,

Since updating my PS3 last night to system software version 4.0, I can not load Call of duty 4 anymore?

When I place the disc in the PS3 it begins to load then the COD 4 logo comes up and it asks for a yes / no confirm?

I can only toggle between the yes or no options, I can not accept / confirm either option using the X button or any other button?

None of the buttons work other than the left or right arrow buttons?

Other games, films, dvd's and blueray discs appear to play with no problems?

Hi,

This is a bit of a strange one!

Does this happen before the game actually loads or is it happening in the in-game menu?

Seems to only happen when you're online, so turn off the router, start up the game, enter multiplayer then switch the router back on and sign-in.

I'm guessing it has something to do with FW4.0?

i am also having this issue!!! I have tried resetting my machine all the way back with no luck.

For now the only "fix" is to turn off the router, start the game, go to the MP menu, then turn the router back on and sign-in.

If Activision or IW won't fix the hacked online i don't think they'll bother fixing this.

Or maybe this is the fix for hacking...."We've made it so you won't get hacked....by not letting you play the game! You're welcome"!!

This issue has caused my hard drive to crash twice aswell, I put the game in the bin.

Good call.

Seriously though, the game is poorly maintained and difficult for most people to get running to a standard that's playable. I'm refusing to play chase the carrot with Activision.
