Hi

I've recently got a new router and when trying to scan on my ps3 to pick the router up sometimes it can somtimes it doesnt,anyway when i does pick it up i put my sercurity code in etc but when i try to connect to the PSN network it says DNS error 80710102.

I've tried different dns numbers that people have used to overcome this problem and they have worked because when i test the connection it says connected. However when i go to sign in i get the same message come up again (DNS error 80710102) or i get connection couldn't be estabablished or even timed out.I also get the 8001000A error message come up alot then i have totunr my ps3 off and start again.

I have turned my router off several times and also unplucked my ps3.Any help would really be appreciated,thanks.

What kind of signal strength are you getting? The 80710102 problem can sometimes appear when the signal's too low.

Are you able to test the connection wired instead of wireless?

Thans for the reply.I can only do wireless and the signal strength is always different when my PS3 picks up the router sometimes is 80 something % the lowest its been is around 60.

It sometimes happens to me too.

Rebooting your router it usually solves the problem , if it does not turn off your router about 10 min.have fun

Ive done that still doesnt work.When i do the connection test everything is fine apart from the playstation network.When i try to connect to PSN i just get the DNS error 80710102.

have you tried connecting with a network cable (rj45)??
