Chroma HDMI cable

hi guys iv got a samsung LE40A556P1F 40" tv and a cheap hdmi cable and all was fine for the last two years but iv brought a new hdmi cable a chroma 5 and it dont work on my tv. I have tryed the chroma on a driffent tv and it worked. does any one no how to fix this?
