I am actually laughing here I been trying and trying and trying. Ever since that stupid update its been EVERYTIME, DIFFERENT GAME DIFFERENT DOWNLOAD DIFFERENT TIME BUT THE SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME PERCENTAGE 14% hahahahahahhaha. I am so angry I am laughing. My PS3 is completely free from any blocks since its on a DMZ and all relevant set up is there. However, its the 14%. 

Everyone knows, if its on your end. The percent or the error in the connection would be different. Not at EXACT SAME PLACE EVERY TIME. NO MATTER WHAT GAME. hahahaha

People who I dont even know have the same error as me at the same 14%, hi everyone this makes us connected. Its all our fault. Ill just put on a T shirt saying 14% You wont need to ask my name. Youll know what it is so if your in a different country its ok numbers speak louder than words in this occasion. hahaha

Sony fix this error stop being lazy. This is hilarious.

I'm experiencing this no stop now with everything too. I have done every step including going out buying an external hard drive and then having the pain of having to covert that to fat32 just so i could back up the data. I then did a system restore (formatted the hdd) and restored my data and still get this effing error.

Now I'm thinking that maybe yeah its not solely a psn error, maybe its a ps3 build fault as well?

You see it with games like Skyrim, where the is a common problem with the lag that has occurred due to numerous factors/actions that people made in the game. Then you get other people who didnt do the same actions and have had no problems at all and just think that other people are making it up.

Either way, sony having built an error code for this particular error suggests that they know of the error but didn't think it would be so wide spread (i have found loads of articles about this error with no solution).

I'm a massive sony fan but i know from the original playstation that they have hardware build problems. The first playstation I had (bought day one), the laser was so strong that it burned scratches into all the cds. Sony replaced my machine instantly then gave me a years worth of free games to keep stum.

Oh yeaaaah. I had that problem and got mine replaced long after blaming myself and coming to the conclusion it was again them. They replaced mine but with no Kudos or games to keep me happy.

@TheFakulty, your probably right about the build, definitely I mean we've seen, what? Yellow Light of Death, PS3'S not reading discs, problems after installations and moreover after Firmware updates.

Heres what happened to me. My PS3 was working fine until June, there was an update. I updated, next thing I know, I had to do a few updates, they werent working. So I was like eh? Rebuild database straight away. Restarted the downloads. Same error at the same place. I was like no this cannot be me, still ignoring the error message I then reformatted, got angry as prior to reformatting as some data you can only copy using psn plus which is a straight Con and Extortion.

Regardless I reformatted willing to give up some data. After both World War 1 and World War 2 passed it finished. Downloaded. Failed.

At this point I was fuming. So I decided ok let me look for the definition of this error code and the solution didnt find nothing at all other than download from the original account which was done. Googled it found several forums with no solutions. And some Sony reps talking crap and being stupid, like What time did you download? and Oh hum who is your ISP? Oh what is the code on the disc? asking on these same questions of different forums at different times to ACT like they are doing something. When its their network.

I am good with computers but I didnt want to mess with my Modem because if I do and something goes wrong, I will have to pay dearly to get it fix. So I decided I'd pay less and get my technician to come round. HE DID EVERYTHING, Port forwarded, Mac Filtered and DMZ'D the PS3 and was laughing saying "your doing all this for a console when everything else is working in the house?" I was like, kind of maybe its a problem that could grow. I was wrong, there was noooooooooooooooo problems in my home network. No packet loss or anything, if you want go to www.speedtest.net. and do the PING TEST and see if you lose any packets. You wont.

So now then, I am a Virgin media customer 100mb, and I have Sky TV. I download stuff from Sky Go all the time, no issues. No buffering on my videos, meaning the stream is up to spec. I download from my Itunes no problem, the rest of the people in my house have no issues with the internet we use.



Only the PS3 cant download..............

So your right, its the PSN, and the PS3 because clearly they aren't agreeing right now.If it is, the PS3 they will be sending me a new one. This PS3 I have is my third. ahaha How sad. I hope there will be a fix for us all soon, this fall alot of games are coming out. If theres not fix we cant play guys. Not cool.

For anyone else if you need to get your IP Adress from your PS3 go to system settings then scroll down to system information its there.

For your IP address on Windows above XP type CMD on the search bar when the black screen comes up simply type IPCONFIG

 it will give you all the information you need.

If your on XP Click on Run from the Start Bar and press CMD THEN IPCONFIG when the Black screen pops up.

Hope it helps everyone. Hopefully this can be resolved ASAP as I am very annoyed.
