I have been having this problem since firmware 4.11 relsease in Feb.

With the latest firmware, I simply cannot play any games at all.

First, when games are selected to play, the screen goes blank and there is no indication of HDD operation.

Secondly, sometimes (after 30 tries) the games would work, but would freeze during any point of gameplay.

I am definite its a firmware problem, because I had experienced the same problem last year. And I had to wait weeks and months for the new firmware to put me out of misery.

It seems like I am not the only one with this firmware problems as I've been spending last 2 hours reading complaints written by other angry users.

However, its now been 4 months without any update. This is ridiculous.

I am now beginning to lose my patience.

I am not curious as to find out what the problem is and why its happening.

All I am interested in is, when the new firmware will be released.

i ahve th 4.11 and have had no problems. maybe there was a corruption when you downloaded it! i am unsure but is there a way to uninstall it then re-install?

Apparantly, there are models that always have such problems while some don't.

I guess I'm the unlucky one.

I have tried everything, re-setting, formatting, factory setting, etc etc. Downgrading the firmware isn't possible either. No luck.

It just seemed like a typical error to me in Feb (cause it wasn't the first time), so I just left it in the corner and never played again. But it has started to pi ss me off now.

I can find at least hundreds of posts regarding the same matter on the net but I don't understand why there is nothing done about it. Seems like PS3 is dumped after Vita release.

It sucks to own one knowing that it won't be working at some point.
