Hi,

I recently paid and downloaded the racing car pack for GT5 (for £6 or so) installed it all fine and it worked perfectly. Then I played the game again a few hours later and cannot access any of the cars due to the error message:

The racing Car Pack downloadable content content is not installed Please reinstall it

I cannot reinstall this without paying again which I am not prepared to do, I'm really annoyed as I paid for this update! Can anyone please help?

Can't you just redownload it from your downloads list in account management?

There is no option anywhere to re-download the DLC, because of the GT5 DLC system, it doesn't actually download anything, you apparently pay to "unlock" the stuff the install it in-game.

I'm having the same problem, downloaded the pack last night and it worked fine, went to use the cars today and had the yellow exclamation marks saying "Please re-install race car pack" That would be fine IF IT WERE POSSIBLE!!! 

Can't find a customer support phone number to get a refund, may not be looking hard enough though.

I am having exactly the same problem.  The only 'fix' I've seen has been to purchase the pack again - clearly not acceptable.

Has anyone tried deleting their gt5 game data? (not save game)

The unlock key should still be in your download history. Its only a 100kb file so try downloading and reinstalling that.

Should it fail, then try downloading the free "family upgrades" that are now on the Gran Tursimo section of the PSN Store. Those upgrades unlock the content to all accounts on your PS3, and they also possibly resolves the problems you're having.

A few people have been suggesting this on the Gran Turimo forum below to other people with this issue, but nobody seems to be giving any feedback as to whether it works.

If you have tried some of the troubleshooting above, but are still having issues with this DLC- I have raised this issue with our store team.

Same thing happened to me, bought complete pack, cars, tracks etc.. Worked fine for couple of days, then, after automatic update on network, could not access cars and tracks that had been installed. Unused cars, still in the form of tickets could be used, but unable to find way of reinstalling DLC that I had already used. (spent 2 hours trying!) Seems like this has happened to quite a few people. Very annoying, hope they sort it soon! I remember when you just put a disc in a console and played a game! easy and reliable

Same problem with my dads. Downloaded Car pack, cars able to be used, tryed to re-download but file had disappeared so re-paid for same download .... still nothing, went to re-download but once again downloaded file had disappeared. Downloaded racing car pack family upgrade and still not working, please dose anyone else have any more ways to try and get it working
