Games freeze about 20 minutes in

Hi Guys.

 

Having trouble with my ps3 for months (got fustrated and not used it in a few months). About 20 minutes into any game I've tried the system freezes, usually when the game is on a loading screen, menu or something similar. The system freezes and won't turn off properly. Then when I fire it back up it won't display the game that's in the drive until I reboot the system again.

 

Thanks in advance for any help.
