Right so i go onto my ps3, then go to update like i usually do, it asks me if i accept the terms which i say yes and i say continue for it to start downloading. When itgets to about 10% a message comes up saying , The hard disk cannot be accessed (80029C44). Ive tried going to the restore menu and tried to retore files but hasnt worked. If you could help me it would be much appreciated

Also its the 250gb slim version which i have had for about a year. I dont want to get it sent away if possible as it is my second ps3, first one ylod.

Back up your files and attempt a system restore.

Try downloading the update data onto a USB drive and installing it from that instead.
