Install my HDD in someone else's PS3?

Hi - so this question isn't quite as dodgy as my title makes it sound :smileyhappy: I have a launch 60gb PS3 that I upgraded to 320gb ages ago. The problem was that it developed he YLOD recently, so I sent it off to Console Doctor to fix it. It's been back to them a couple of times since & was on its way back last week when the couriers lost it! So now Console Doctor have replaced it with another 60gb launch day PS3, with a couple of odd additions; the console is still apparently registered to another user & the 60gb HDD is still in there! I have no intention of using any of the data on here, but I want to be able to put my HDD in there & start using it again. However, the PS3 just wants to format my HDD if I put this in & delete all my data. What can I do to erase the new PS3 & be able to insert & use my HDD?
Please use plain text.

The HDD is paired to the console that formatted it. Inserting it into another console will result in being prompted to format it. There is no way round this.
