Hi there,

This problem started for me on Monday, before the 4.20 software update so I don't think it has anything to do with that.

I keep getting signed out of the PSN. This happens occasionally throughout the day, sometimes when my machines is sitting idle, sometimes when I am playing a game. I was downloading something off the PS Store and the download stopped and I got signed out.

I haven't changed anything with my router and as far as I know, my internet connection is steady and not dropping out. Thr other thing that happens when I get signed out is some or all of friend list disappears from the XMB every time and I have to restart the PS3 to get them back and often to sign in again so it can't be an issue with a connection dropout. Does anyone know anything about this issue? This only started for me on Monday. I hardly ever have problems like this.

This would be the first step.  Turn off the router and leave it for 5 minutes.  This can sort out a whole range of connection problems.  There is some further useful tips in this guide

Thanks guys. Have done a router reset. Everything seems ok so far although haven't been connected for very long since the reset. I'm sure that will fix the issue.

hi i posted  a message a few days ago reference error code 80028E01. Iv set my connection up manually as i remember that was the advice. it hasn't worked' when i boot my ps3 up it says signed out of psn - but when i click sign in, it does just that & works fine. I know its only a small problem but i cant under stand the error or why its happening. & its on auto sign in........ its got my head in bits plzzzzzz can some one work out what the error is. as my internet is fine. thanks guys

Me again just reading some of the others thats had problems, well it dawned on me try a router reset. And yes everything's working like clock work, i can sleep now lol. Once again i'd like to thank everyone who may not know they have been a real help. THANKS

Hi i keep getting signed out of psn and i have tryed restarting my router and it still keeps signing me out, is there a solution to this problem.
