*cough* better browser *cough*

:smileytongue: So long as it doesn't involve dumbing down the forum for rubbish browsers it's all good :smileyhappy:

Don't know how or if this has been fixed but I just sent stangeplaice a new PM via PS3 browser as a test

I just ignored the Display errors and sent a short test message.....

I did this buy selecting just his user profile first. Then selecting to PM him.

Then putting in the title and subject.

Just plain text.

So this is ether luck or its been fixed to ignore the errors.

So give it another try. It may be user ID Specific. In the past ive had the PM system completely fail to send or receive messages even on PC... Had to wait for the server to fix its self...

Re: MESSAGE FOR A MODORATOR - UNABLE TO SEND PRIVATE MESSAGE.

It's unlikely it's ID specific, as all forum users have the same permissions, except for those with extended ones, (beta testers, MVPs etc).
Try clearing your Caches and see if it works :smileyhappy:

Thank you very much indeed for your solution!
See people - a solution provided by someone in the forum community using a little bit of lateral thought!
RabidWalker could you or one of the people you were supposed to be getting an update from not have provided me with this kind of basic information?
I ASKED THIS QUESTION DIRECTLY TO A MODERATOR AND AS USUAL, GOT LIP SERVICE!
AGAIN I ASK, WHERE IS THE SONY CUSTOMER SUPPORT?!!!

Re: MESSAGE FOR A MODORATOR - UNABLE TO SEND PRIVATE MESSAGE.

This is the information I have been provided by the relative department internally. Currently there are some features of the official forums that the PS3 browser is not designed to work with.

This is something they are aware off, and are looking to fix with an update. Unfortunately I can't be any more specific than this as I have not been given a date. However fixes such as these have to worked into updates/ upgrades, and cannot be implemented immediately.

The English moderators have lost over 1/3 of there work force with zero signs of any replacements normaly We see the adverts before they leave but not this time.

The lack of MVPs around the actual forum is a problem. I normaly stay out of this section because these get solved before i can type a reply buy a speed typing MVP TTDeg.

It would be a laugh if he was of line because his BB is busted as he normaly fixes every ones elses tech gear.
