I too have done all of these things, rebuilt database, reset to original, run all online progs such as Home and Vidzone and still nothing. Thanks SONY

Stuart - this is for the auto download thing, but it seems to be clearing problems, please try it -

Ok after 5 days of auto updates not working, I've found a solution!

Manually sync your trophies, and that should then fix the problem.

To test, after syncing trophies, go to the auto updates time slot and choose the slot that matches the time it is right now, select 'on', and then turn off the console. PS3 Should then boot back up again and check for updates.

Don't forget to then choose the correct time slot you want the console to check for updates again!

Finally, it has uploaded my game saves!

Have no problem synching trophies and cannot use auto update as it is for playstation plus users.  It's just a slight pain in the ass but bugger it, will start using the Wii instead and boot this to the back of the pile.  Never had trouble with the iplayer on that.

ok this is the order of events i performed to make this appear.

logged into ps store.

logged into vidzone watched some movies

quit vidzone, sync'd trophies,

went to login to music unlimited qtrocity via music, it flashed up some message about date time not being set correctly and told me to push ps button to quit.

when i quit went back to tv icon and my channels appeared, i went into that and then had to download the iplayer, itvplayer and 4od apps,

not sure if it was a case of waiting or going into one of those other apps suddely triggered the my channels icon to allow access to the installer packages.

My channels is there now  

I tried a few more things suggested around, like playing online, comparing trophies, loading up vidzone and qriocity, saving something to online storage. none of these did anything, the 'My channels' icon appeared just after i hovered over the store icon on the games tab and let the 6 ad/link things load. I don't know if that was what did it but it was the last thing I did and I checked if it was there after everything else i did.

Thank you for this information. I have a few questions for you. I cant work out how to sign out of home? Is this home from my ps3 or home from the playstation network?

Also, where will i find the safe mode?

Also, try this, start the game or PS Home and then press the PS button, you will notice the icon that appears. Exit the game and there you go. I think Sony needs to release an update bigtime.
