I have downloaded fight night champion off the PSN Store and everything was fine till afew days ago it started shutting itself off in the middle of the fight without any warning....does anybody have any idea why this might happen?

Sounds like overheating to me, try giving all the vents on the PS3 a good clean. If it continues after that it may just be a matter of time before it stops working altogether.

Return it to where you got it from and get it replaced,

Is the console only doing this on that game?

Yeah if it's brand new then it should not be doing that. Have you tried any other games?

U shore it's not screen tearing

Screen tearing is a visual artifact. Not a system shutdown. They're teal very different things

If the system shuts down only on that game, check the temperature and see if moving the PS3 to a more ventilated spot helps

Play another game ( from Disc and HDD ) for the same amout of time as you have been playing the game that shuts off your PS3?

Example. If you play that game for 1 hour and it shuts off the PS3 ( play a disc based game and another HDD game ) for the same amount of time to see if your console shuts off?

What was your findings?
