Hi,
I recently bought an Official PS3 BT Headset for my PS3. As told in the manual, i automatically paired the device using the provide USB cable, directly connected to the device (not using the cradle). The device was immediately detected (green power led flashing) and was charging. After fully charging the device, i started using the device while playing Call of Duty 5.
The people i was playing with where telling me they have lots of trouble hearing me. Sometimes the first word or so is cut off, but the biggest problem is that the volume is way to low.
I tried to up the volume by going to "Accessory Settings" and choose "Audio Device Settings". Here i set the mic level to 5, but to no result. You can even test the device, but even while set to level 5 i almost have to scream to get the signal bar to reach the red level. The same goes when setting it to level 1, the volume doesn't go down as it should. This doen't look like it has any effect on volume.
I tested this with HQ audio enabled and disabled, but to no effect.
This is a real problem i am facing here, and reading througout the internet i can conclude i am not the onlyone having this issue. And as the mic does work (people can hear me, but at a to low volume) it looks like a software/firmware issue.
My question is 2 ways:
1) Is Sony aware of this problem (and i hope you can fix this)
2) Is there something i can do about this?
What i have done is call the Dutch Playstation support desk, but they told me i was the first to report this. Thats why i want to know if Sony knows about this issue.
I do hope Sony can at least quickly respond to this, so i know i wasn't doing something wrong.
Greetings,
Joris
