PS Stereo Headset & PS2 Classics

Is there any way to get the official stereo headset to work with PS2 classics?

 

Really annoying bearing in mind I bought a few to play and now can't play them through my headset.

The headset is designed for in game chat online, and not as headphones I'm afraid.

As far as I'm aware, no PS2 games so far have any online features though so they won't function.

Eh? I said the PS Wireless Stereo Headset - the headphones - the 7.1 ones.

It's probably a sound format compatibility issue a lot of PS2 titles are exceeding over 5 to 12 years old. You are basically using new audio tech on games programmed with older sound formats. Is there any settings options you can change for the 7.1 headset?
