Hi i have a 120gb PS3

Since April my ps3 has continously have been getting a black screen with an odd occasion that the game might play. my ps3 makes a strange noise when i put my disc in, and its like i tell if it will load or not by the noise as i think i can hear my disc spinning or something along those lines. it currently takes me 2 hours just to get my game running by taking the disc out and putting it back in. also when loading up my game it stops where i hear a sound like my disc is coming out and then going back in then my gsme stops loading. my ps3 is connected to a hd tv using the scart which came with it and also when loading a game the circle thing in the top right keeps spinning untill game is loaded and the disc comes up or it game cannot be loaded. i tried all safe mode options none of them work.

Is this with all discs?

yes and with downloaded content

It also happens with non-disc PSN games?

If this is true it is probably a hard drive issue and i would suggest changing your hard drive since you've been through safe mode.

in addition to i removed my hard drive and turned on my ps3 i get the same noise

That's probably just the disc drive & fans running, have you tried a new hard drive in your ps3?

No i don't think i am able to get hold of one
