PS3 takes forever to start and freezes once started. Right after 4.20 update.

I turned on my PS3 tonight and got the System Update available message. I went to system update and started the download. It downloaded and installed all the way up to 99% and then froze. I left it for over an hour and it still stayed on 99%. I turned it off and back on again and it took about 2 minutes to show up on my TV, it was really slow and now it just keeps freezing up. Any ideas???

If it was me I would run the update . And leave it sat on 99% for however long it takes I would leave it for at least 3 hours . In this time I would learn how to put the 4.20 update on a USB drive . Then you got a plan B if your ps3 can't run the 4.20 update by itself .
Try resetting your router before you run the update .

After the update, while playing BF3, the game freezes midway. First i thought the system overheated, but then i thought i'd harldy play for an hour or so and it freezes. I honestly don't know what to do!
