I just played with mine on and had no problems.

 When watching films

Does the headset not disable the Mic when you push it back in.

The Tritton headset allows disconnection of the Mic completely.

Logitech disable the mic when moving it up to the head band.

Yes other mics with Vocal feed back do require the mute button press. its only one extra button.

You have to adjust the volume any way per film as audio is never the same per each film. 

 Watched outlander and that was realy noisey watched Boondock saints 2 and they wisper..

For me its even worse. Now the headset cannot connect to the USB dongle. When I plug the dongle it says that an unknown device has been connected (something along that).

It must be the patch that is causeing the sound problem,the day before i played with the headset it was all right the next day after the patch it was not good,the sound is irritating

Just tried mine out and they are working perfectly for me.

Same problem here. I was playing yesterday, checking new patch for battlefield and it was amazing evening playing BF with friends FINALY hearing them correctly. Today, was horrible, loud static noise, and i could hear everything i said. Even when i turned mic off, it was still working, i'mean my friends that i was playing with, couldn hear me, but i was still hearing myself in my headset. sooooo annoying. playing bf on tv speakers is ... well n/c.

Please Fix This

I see thatnot everybody have this problem. Maybe we could write what model of ps3 and headset we have?

I have the same problem. Background heard when the volume is turned off. this is a real problem. and the sound of the microphone in the headphones. it became impossible to play. this should be fixed.

Used my stereo headset the night before the update the next day my stereo headset was picking up all sounds and playing it in the headset also could hear a buzzing noise. After messing around with things I disconnected my Internet and the outside noise and buzzing sound was gone... However I still have no chat . The output device is grayed out. Thinking it might just be the stereo headset I used my old headset ( ps3 wireless BT headset) but still can't chat with them. I have no idea what's wrong it's extremely frustrating. Don't know what to do.

Used mine all last night on BF3 and had no problems, mic monitoring worked well the only thing i noticed was a very very slight hiss while you had mic on.

For all those people saying i can hear all noises like washing machine, noise in your room and static sound you should maybe give a thought for your team mates as i feel sorry for them as thats all they must hear coming from your mic when they game with you.

For the washing machine comment, I don't game during the day when the washing is likely to be on. I was only testing the headset out during the day yesterday and it was picking up all external sounds.

I dont do very much voice chat online so my mic is usually retracted into the headset most of the time. It still picks up noises.

The static is the biggest problem for me, I couldnt live with the static sound so I went into accessory settings and disabled the stereo headset for the input section. The headset now sounds like it did before the 4.10 update. The only thing is the mic is completely shut off now so not much use for online gaming. As I said before I don't do a lot of online chat in gaming so I can live with that solution for now.

It definitely does need an option for those who want to hear their voice and for those who dont though.
