4.10 comes along and now the microphone is picking up everything and playing it back to your ears. I now hear a load of static and I could even hear the washing machine from the kitchen being played back to me. Unbelievable.
It does this anyway, only normally you can't hear it. Mine was once picking up a breeze from the Window!!!
Trust me i have been told many times how sensitive the Mic is...IT PICKS UP EVERYTHING!!
It's not only this Mic either, the Original BlueTooth one did, not sure about the 2.0......there is just no noise cancelling whatsoever, none.
This is what happens when Sony lock the Mic level thinking they know what is best for our Gaming Environment....but surely we should be the judges of that?
Thought they would have fixed the issue, since it was aparant in the First Mic, this shows me they are incompetant and i doubt i'll ever buy a Sony Headset again, and just stick to people i feel i can trust i.e. Astro and even Logitech!
p.s. Rabid, could you please tell them to let us alter the Mic Level for all Sony Mics, be it the BlueTooth Ear piece (v1 and v2), the PS3 Eye and the 7.1 headset. I'm just asking for the ability to tweak our settings for what suits our Gaming environment...nobody on the other side wants to hear all the background noise.

I've just tested the headset with the new firmware.... the problem has not been fixed.
I'm not happy at this at all considering the new firmware was to fix bugs. Unless someone from Sony acknowledges that this is an issue that is going to be fixed very quickly, the headset is going back. £90 is too much to spend on a headset that now doesn't work the way it did when I bought it.
