It does this anyway, only normally you can't hear it. Mine was once picking up a breeze from the Window!!!

Trust me i have been told many times how sensitive the Mic is...IT PICKS UP EVERYTHING!!

It's not only this Mic either, the Original BlueTooth one did, not sure about the 2.0......there is just no noise cancelling whatsoever, none.

This is what happens when Sony lock the Mic level thinking they know what is best for our Gaming Environment....but surely we should be the judges of that?

Thought they would have fixed the issue, since it was aparant in the First Mic, this shows me they are incompetant and i doubt i'll ever buy a Sony Headset again, and just stick to people i feel i can trust i.e. Astro and even Logitech!

p.s. Rabid, could you please tell them to let us alter the Mic Level for all Sony Mics, be it the BlueTooth Ear piece (v1 and v2), the PS3 Eye and the 7.1 headset. I'm just asking for the ability to tweak our settings for what suits our Gaming environment...nobody on the other side wants to hear all the background noise.

Just when I thought the 4.11 Firmware update was about to correct the problem (boom) my hopes were dashed with;

I'm confident they will fix it. Sony may not perfect, but they sure do their best to make it up to us.
Still, I don't want to play any more Multiplayer games until it's fixed.

Well this really sucks¡¡¡ 

I had the same problem. Bought the headset and everything was working just fine. Then like about a week ago, the annoying static noise came out and I tried everything to solve it: resetting the headset, resetting the system settings, turning off wireless devices around and nothing worked. I even called playstation and they gave up too and recommend me to take the headset back so I did. Funny enough no Best Buy or Future shop have any headset left in south-western Canada... Coincidence??? I don't really know.

Now I am just waiting for the headset to be delivered again (kind of silly I know considering how defective it is) because all other headset are too expensive

Any news at all? Sick of the constant hiss in the back ground when a game goes silent.
Fair enough if this was £20 - £30, but it's a £90 headset! We deserve an update at least.

totally agree jay.

3 weeks now my headset is not 100% functionnable. It's really annoying that we ahve no news at all except communnity manager. (and im not sure they have info too)
