Damn, what's the point of using closed headphones, if you hear everythining around?

Surely to stop all outside noises from invading ur headset would be to mute ur mic? When I muted my mic while gaming yesterday there was no mic monitoring active so only game sound was heard. So can't you just press one button when ur gaming?

The solution I can see for Sony is to enable a sort of noise gate that can be altered, I also believe some of you hav not got your sound/chat settings set up quite right, as my soon was chatting in the room I was gaming in and I could not hear him in my headset.

Are you all talking about the official wireless Sony 7.1 virtual surround sound headset recently released?

Because mine is the same prior to 4.10 firmware, I still can't hear myself through my mic but it certainly isn't picking up noise more sensitivley...

I don't have this issue and I'm on firmware 4.10...can't hear my own voice but can happily chat to others..would love to be able to hear myself through my mic but obviously do not want all sound to be amplified through it...mine was imported from Canada if that makes a difference?

For me the biggest problem is the static that must be fix

The only reason to use the headset is so the Mrs don't hear the gaming noise. 

This is why you need vocal feed back so you don't shout... and wake the Mrs up.

I had static when I first bought mine and it was because my PS3 is too close to my TV and wireless router...

I bought a USB extension lead and plugged in the Headset Dongle into that and moved it away from the TV/router and get no interference.static now...

Exactly the reason I bought mine, to not wake my Mrs and my baby...but I do end up shouting at her when she asks me something when I am wearing them...

If they do it will be the first RF vocal feedback headset that does, Every headset has it to a point.
