the noise is still happening and it went to a black screen when loading game after i turned on the ps3  i then took the disc out and it worked.

i dont think my ps3 has been fixed through safe mode

Try working your way from top to bottom and see if any of the options help you.

i tried every option same thing happens.   when i start up ps3 i have to go safe mode and do option 3 and i keep getting the same message.  everytime i do option 3 and when i try game theres a  black screen

At still not working after all that, I'm afraid there's nothing more you can do besides send it for repairs. Safe mode is really a last resort and from the sounds of things it's done nothing.

I'm now 99% sure the drive laser has had it which will require replacement of very small fragile parts which would be best suited to a professional.

i wish i didn't have to pay £130 for a problem i absolutely did not cause as my disc is always in my console as i only play fifa 12.

after this problem happened it feels like Life is Trolling on Me as i have such bad luck
