Recovering an account

Yh so I had to format my PS3, but I have a problem.... I cant remember my User and Password for my account with all my downloads from PS Store. I was wondering if anybody knew a way to recover my account even without the vital user/pass? Any help welcomed and I thank you in advance, it is much appreciated

Can you not use the "forgotten password" option on the sign in menu?

What do you mean by it doesn't work? When you enter the recovery details nothing happens? Have you checked your Email?
