Region 1 game - will it work 100% (patches etc) on region 2 console?

Hello,

So today I got ratchet&clank - crank in time through the post but it appears Amazon sent me a region 1 greatest hits version of the game (not what I thought I had ordered..hmmph)

As I understand I will be able to run the game but there could be some hitches with online features.. Can anyone confirm whether the game will work completely and if I'll be able to download all the patches from the UK network?

It will patch and play fine PS3 games are region free it's just store content that isn't. 

 

There was never any additional store content released for Ratchet and Clank A Crack in Time so you will have no problems.

what if i dld content that doesent match the originals game region? am i stuck with it or is there any way to get money back or get it to work?

and allso why would you make two regions that work just the same for all games exept when it comes to downloading stuff and not make it very very clear?!?!? unless you want to drive your customers to go pirate/
