Saints Row 2 patches won't trigger

Basically, when I booted SR2 up for the first time and started a new game, it warned me about something to do with online and that I need the latest patch and whatever.

But the problem is, whenever I start up the game, it doesn't prompt me to download any patches. And I know PS+ hasn't downloaded them for me because it still says "Version 1.00". I've also tried to play the online multiplayer but it won't work.

The weird thing is, I downloaded the free "Unkut" DLC pack and that works, even though I can't download any patches.

I'm confused. :smileysad:

Re: Saints Row 2 patches won't trigger

I have exactly the same problem here. I too have the downloaded version from PS+ and bought one of the other not free DLCs. This is after having to change my audio settings (which work perfectly with everything else) just to have audio functioning at all :smileysad:

Re: Saints Row 2 patches won't trigger

Hi guys,

This issue may be caused by a conflict with the media server connection.

Go to settings> network settings > then turn off the media server and then attempt to update the game.

Please let me know how you get on.
