Slim suddenly has no sound!

My PS3 was working fine yesterday, but just turned it on and it has no sound whatsoever.

I've tried reseting it by holding down the power button for 5 seconds, and tried using a different HDMI cable but no luck.

Also it's not the TV as the digi box has sound.

HELP!

Re: Slim suddenly has no sound!

Have you tried swapping the cables so that the DigiBox connects through the PS3's cable to it's port on the back of the TV. It may be the TV's port that has failed.

Re: Slim suddenly has no sound!

That's not actually possible for me lol.

I've connected my PS3 to a different, much newer TV, through HDMI and everything is working fine so I'm gessing that old TV is on the fritz... I'm gutted about that, loved that ol' gal

Re: Slim suddenly has no sound!

Yeah they do, I only really liked it 'cause it was in my conservatory so it was nice and warm and if I opened the doors it felt like i was sitting outside

I would swap the TVs around but I'll get moaned at loads so it's really not worth the hassle

Re: Slim suddenly has no sound!

Do it when nobody's in :smileywink:

Then you can clean up the dust and cables and nobody will care!
