Hello everybody,

This week I bought my PS3 with 80GB Little Big Planet and Mirror's Edge separately.

Once installed the updates for the PS3, Mirror's Edge and Little Big Planet everything worked perfectly until yesterday I installed the PlayStation Store to download some free demos ...

Little Big Planet is still working well, but the Mirror's Edge does not boot properly ...

I insert the disk and it loads it (and I see how does the PS3 background changes to the Mirror's Edge one). I press X, then I see the PlayStation 3 logo and that's it. It's stuck, in black screen, with blue and green lights on ... nothing more ...

 

This morning I restored the PS3, and after losing the settings and the game progresses I could play the Mirror's Edge again ... So the problem is not the game is the PS3 ... I do not know what happens when you turn the PSStore ... ...

 

I read that this is due to updates of the game, once deleted, everything works again ... The thing is I don't know how to delete the game updates, can't find the menu...

English:
In the Main Menu (XMB) The menu you see when you turn the PS3 on.
Under Game go to GAMA DATA. Not Game Saves.


Go over to Miror's edge and prees triangle then delete.
Hope this helps.

Bajo juego vaya a los DATOS del GAMA. No el juego ahorra.


Pase a Miror' el borde de s y el triángulo de los prees entonces suprimen.

i tried that but it still gets stuck at the same place

i think the only way to solve this is restoring the PS3 and not installing the PSStore... (which is annoying... I still want to download some demos, but i can't with this problem......

oh by the way, thanks for the translation, though the spanish was a bit weird, hehe

Maybe it is a faulty disk, take it back and ghet another one and see if it works.

Problem solved.

 

It seems the problem was the screen resolution... I unchecked the 1080p (so now the game is running with 720p and its working perfectly...)...

Maybe the problem is I'm using a 22" monitor which can't handle 1080p (but PS3 enabled 1080p automatically... and it worked till I enabled the PS Store...)...

 

Well, who knows why?

The thing is the game is now working properly, and that's what matters.
