Hey , ok my ps3 wont play my cod mw2 disk , i enter it into the disk tray i get the blue light which is fine , it reads the disk , goes to load it up then i get a grey / black screen , with my tv details in the top left , then it goes back to the ps3 xmb , my disk is not scratched or damaged as i take good care of my disks , and i have tried other disks on my ps3 which have worked , any ideas guys ?

Hi there.

Sorry you've had to wait a bit for a reply.

Give this a go:

1) Scroll along to the 'Game' tab on the XMB.
2) Scroll to 'Game Data Utility' (Should be at the top). Enter using 'X'
3) Locate the 'Modern Warfare 2' file.
4) Delete this file.

(Make sure you DO NOT delete your save data located in 'Save Data Utility'!)

Once you've deleted the 15MB MW2 file in 'Game Data Utility', load up the game and see if that makes any difference.

What if there is no gamedata to delete?

i have pretty much the same problem but the game starts to load then goes back to the home screen. i tried the solution listed but it doesn't fix the problem.
