PlayStation®3 Technical Help

I been searching around on the forum now to see if anybody else have had the problem.. i quess im the only 1 so far but i do see that many ppl have problems after the new update  4.20.. But my problem is that when i Turn on my Music and then opens my browser Its gos around 20 seconds to 2 Minutes. And bang Black screen appears and then it tells me that my System is Broken? and that i have to press the PS button to restart and if it dont. Press Start + select to Install the update agin trough a USB.. now the strange is my PS3 system is not even a year old. and i never had a problem only this problem and it first came after the New update.. and im pretty sure nothing is wrong with my PS system. Have any1 had this problem/ have..?

I belive sony shut make new update SOON! becourse this is not Right! ..

I don't see how that will help me. When it wont cure anything. I have tried rebuilding the Database and im not going to restore my system or anything that will result in Lose of Data.. I Guess pepole with this problem will have to wait for the next update and see if its Fixes the Error.. But Thanks

Personally, I am soooo sick of the updates that are on the PS3. I rarely use my console, so everytime I turn it on to use it there's a two hour wait for the update. I used to love PlayStation, but now I am so freakin sick of it. I paid money for the stupid thing and it should be my choice if I want to update or not. I don't use the Playstation Store or any of those stupid features - just BlueRay, PS Games, DVDs and Netflix.

Thank you PlayStation for the non-stop headache you give me & great job on ruining a great console with your stupid worthless updates. Hope you like it when my business goes elsewhere. I rather deal with a console like Xbox that I don't like as much, but at least has the decency to let me choose if I want to update. So I can USE IT. Wow I can't believe how much more intelligent Microsoft is!

Firstly, the updates rarely take 30 minutes on a decent connection. Not really that long to wait.

Secondly, they only occur every few months, if you use your PS3 this infrequently then that's your problem.

Thirdly, the updates are necessary to ensure that the console keeps its security up to date so that it cannot (hopefully) be hacked again as it was In 2011 when everyone's details were stolen, you wouldn't want that would you? They also so,etimes add new features and functionality to the console which is a good thing.

since i tried to install my system will not restart and all technical support say is there is nothing they can do other than a replacement console whioch i will have to pay £110.00 for and the hdd will be 80gb not the 250 gb i had installed
