I've been having a look around the tech help threads and cant really find my answer.

So...

My old fat YLOD'ed a couple of years back and luckily i got a slim replacement from the store.

I dusted off skate2 a few weeks back planning to finish off any last bits, forgetting that the save is locked on my old PS.

A-ha i thought, maybe its time for me to finally get PS+ so i could use the cloud feature to transfer the save across.

But. Some time way back when, i think i 'de-activated' (?) the old one to be able to get purchased Singstar tracks on to the slim.

Before I buy PS+ for the cloud. Will this de-activation block / effect my old skate2 file?

unless u have the save file already stored on the cloud then u cant access it

If you have access to the PS3 and your account is still associated, signing in should enable PS+ which should let you copy over the save to the cloud.

However if the old PS3 has YLOD you may be hard pushed getting life out of it to copy your save.
