Weird Popping Noise when loading a game on PS3

I have had a PS3 since launch day but recently after clicking on the game I want to play a loud popping noise comes from the ps3, but then everything loads perfectly. 

 

Just wondering whether anyone has this problem and whether I should be worried.

Does it make the noise when playing BluRay movies, or DVDs at all?

Not really, it does occasionally, but it is mainly with PS3 games :smileysad:

If it's a pop like a balloon bursting, or an electrical pop, then you may have a reason to be concerned. Otherwise, if it's a pop as though things are sliding into place, or just a random sound on insertion. You're probably fine.

It is like a balloon bursting, but the noise doesn't come from within the PS3 it actually comes through the TV speaker. This never happened before and does happen with other TVs so it isn't the TV's fault. Confusing xD
