everytime i try to log into my ps account to play online i am not getting through. this has been happening for weeks now. i keep getting error message "accsses to playstation has been timed out " i am wondering if anyone could help me with that. thank u......... oh and how come i can log in here with the same online i.d , but not working to play online ????????

Might be a problem with your home network. Have you run an internet connection test from the settings menu? What's your NAT Type?

my NAT type says failed.

There's your problem then. What else does it fail on? Does it obtain an IP address? If not then the PS3 cannot connect to your network at all. Do you have a wired or wireless connection? What router do you have?

Anyway, if you haven't allready just try to 1st, switch power to router off, leave for a minute then turn back on, also try not to have anything, ps3 pc or phone connected when doing so... IF that doesn't work, you 'could' then try reseting the router, depending on how much you know about these things,, for instance IF you/someone has allready made adjustments.. password, channel or any other settings get restored to default... so if your not 100% then ask for more advice... 'usually' though simply switching it off for a minute fixes simple faults... btw take out battaries if your router has any as well.. otherwise it won't switch off/on correctly.
