is this easy, have heard you need to back up to an external hard drive first then reload it to the new one. would i have to do this if there was nothing on my current hard drive that i actually wanted to import. have plus so that takes care of game saves and cos im only on the 40 gb system at present i constantly have delete everything else on there anyway... cheers in advance

yes download the upadate 4.20 from the playstation website then:

1) place in a folder marked PS3

2) then place the update in another folder in that labeled UPDATE
