my original ps3 has finally gone off so went and bought another, finally got my playstation store account back on etc but when i went to download a demo it said that i have now got 2 ps3 accounts active and need to deactivate one and i have no idea how to can someone help please.

Thats very strange, as you are allowed 2 'active' ps3s, for games at least, not sure bout videos, if you can do a google search for SEN not sure the exact address/site.. you will (eventually) find your SEN register devices forum/site... from here you can both de-register your old ps3, and register your new one... it's Not a major problem once you find the correct page.., But you may spend some time finding it... But again, Very strange about the request to deregister 1st ps3, as you ARE permitted to use 2... btw i know there'd be a direct link to proper site 'somewhere' in here... But finding it may take longer than trying to google it.... Good Luck.. and lets know how you fare.

sorry but i have reigstered my ps3 account on my friends aswell i have followed the link to deactivate them but it says there is 4 active ps3 systems and i can't deactivate them with a pc does that mean i just go online via my ps3 to do it

You deactivate all your console my signing in to the SEN homepage here:

https://account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/pc/login.action?request_locale=en_GB

This has to be done via the PC, and you will be able deactivate all units. It's then a case of activating the console you are using.
