so yeah my ps3 froze while i was watching "facejacker" on the 4od app , wouldnt respond to long press of ps button on controller so i hit the power off button on the machine.

has only ever done this once and all i have really done is sub to playstation plus .

what could have caused it and do i need to be worried  ?  i.e that the machine is on its way out .

No need to be worried. If it starts doing this on other services or games then you should be

many people have had problems with 4od freezing, especially at the ad breaks.

it's because the app on the xmb uses the old browser.

the solution is to use the new browser:

1) launch the 4od app as usual.

2) press select & choose 'add to bookmarks'.

3) exit 4od app, then launch the browser.

4) press select & choose 4od from bookmarks.

doing it this way has 4od running glitch free & itv player is smoother as well
