slow download speeds

is there any way to speed my ps3 download speed up. i just joined playstation plus and i decided to download infamouse 2. that was four days ago my consele has never been of i turned of the powersaving option. its just hit 42% after 96 hours thats unacceptable. its not my intenet because i have a nintndo wii and a PC that are physically further away from my bt home hub than my playstation and in half an hour they can download multiple files thus exeding the file size of infamous 2... like i said my ps3 has been running day and night for 4 days and its only at 42%

Re: slow download speeds

That's rather excessive. I set all my downloads to work in the background. They either download when I'm playing another game (as long as it doesn't use online) or during the daily (*) PS+ update which runs for approximately two hours. If you set it to run early in the morning the downloads appear to be quicker.

I wonder if you are hitting a traffic management limit for downloading.

* It's supposed to be every other day but if you have automatic setting of the clock from the internet it'll run daily.

Re: slow download speeds

Same problem, I have a router Internet download speed of over 40Mbps, but the PS3 (connected wirelessly)estimates a download speed of just 3.8Mbps. Game downloads seem to be even slower than that.

Re: slow download speeds

If you play games the download speed will go down further. Even if you use PS HOME or any application the download speed will be affected. Better leave the download alone at night when you sleep.

Re: slow download speeds

How far away is your modem?

if its quite a way from your ps3 the signal will be weaker.

You can stop & restart DCUO downloads.

Fastest time for any downloads is usually weekday mornings.

Some ISPs have traffic management policies which may slow downloads at certain times.

Re: slow download speeds

Turn off all the computers and systems and components what use internet in your house. Turn of Media Servers . If that don't work then it's just your ISP MEG
