My game updates don't take too long, the 350-something MB update for Resistance 2 took just over 20 minutes for me, and I d/loaded it a few times because of issues with the update.

yeah, my game updates really slow aswell, frustrating, because they are never expected, and i just want to play

I say it's a Sony issue. I wouldn't be surprised if there is another update soon for the console.

Well I have no idea now who is to blame.

After 2.70 the updates are as slow as anything.

30 + Minutes to download the latest LBP update! I mean it was only 15Mb. The Store downloads are fine.

Seems everyone from Telecom which is my IPS also is affected so I hope they resolve this issue as it just takes too long to download updates

It's odd that Telecom would pin point one part of the PS3 online feature. Sony have a bug which they need to fix.

I have done some thorough testing from my end and can replicate the issue you mention, however only over certain connections.
It appears quite random, as some connections function fine then another setup exactly the same will suffer from the issue you mention.

As such, I have escalated this issue to our network team for further investigation.
I will let you know when I have an update, or some more information to give.

I hope they fix it soon too, because there is a patch for LBP and it tells me it will take over two hours to download.

I got the Prince of Persia epilogue pack yesterday. The pack was about 548Mb and it took about two hours to download. When I put the game in there was a 38Mb patch for the game and it took about 50 minutes.
