i had a problem with my ps3 after installing an update it wouldnt alow me to play cod blacl ops and mw3 i couldnt play them for months then i was prompted to install update 4.10 and low and beholold i could play my cod games a few wks ago i had to install update 4.11 and now i cant play black ops or mw3 again all i get is a problem has occurd during start up error code 80010514  the discs are perfect no scratches and spotles and yet it plays all other games no problem even cod mw2

Hey there,

That error code indicates that the disc cannot be read.

Have you tried these particular discs on another console, or alternate copies on your console?

If a number of other disc based games work perfectly fine, I wouldn't suggest it's anything to do with anything but the discs. The firmware will not change the consoles ability to read discs (or any other hardware related function)

You could also try deleting the Game Data Utililty for each game that you are having an issue with, in case that may have something to do with the issue.
