I'm using a visa debit card. I have done a bit of research but cannot find a solution. Does anyone else have this problem? Can anyone from here help me? I'm from sydney'

Hi there Keshroom,
The first thing to check is that you've entered your CC details correctly.
You must make sure the entries match your name on the card exactly, and the address on your statement exactly. This can affect your success.
Also, are you attempting just to fund the wallet, or funding the wallet as a result of a purchase?

Also debit master or visa cards aren't fully supported by the PSN.......it's pretty much a "hit 'n miss" affair
I use a Commonwealth bank debit mastercard with no problems, although it took a few attempts with different configurations when entering my details, for example....
Instead of entering my address as x/xx whatever street, I entered unit x on the first line, and the street number and name on the 2nd line
If you still get no love, either try a card from a different bank or buy PSN cards

thanks for replying guys ![]()
I actually was able to add funds to my wallet and purchase sucessfully today. All i did was wait a day without touching my cc details. It seems to be fixed. Weird...
I must've been locked out for 1 day or somethign because i kept modifying my cc details.
I hope that error doesn't pop again ![]()
again thanks
regards

I have the same problem. I'm from Denmark and have a PS3 since about a year. I have bought many games and downloaded demos etc from PlayStation Store before. Then suddenly, a few days ago, I cannot download anything. I bought a game and PlayStation Store took my money (I got an email confirmation saying so), but they don't allow me to download the game due to the 80023102 error in the download section. ![]()
I hadn't changed the Credit Card data for a long time before the error suddenly appeared a few days ago. I use a Visa card and it isn't expired or anything. Now I have tried reentering the CC data, but I still get the same error. I also tried deleting the CC data and reentering them all again, but it still doesn't work.
Since I cannot even download FREE demos anymore (the download screen is just blank, with no error messages) and since I hadn't changed the CC data before the error occurred, I don't think the error really has anything to do with the CC data not being correct (?) as suggested here. At least it doesn't seem logic to me that you need a valid creditcard to download something which is free.
I have searched both the forum and the internet for the '80023102' error, and it seems to be a common problem for many users. I think the PlayStation Store could be more helpful on this matter. The error message itself (80023102) is completely user-unfriendly -- why doesn't the system tell the user what is REALLY wrong, instead of throwing numbers at the user?
